Obituary of Arlene Copeland

Coffeyville - Arlene Copeland, 87, of Coffeyville, passed away this morning, June 21, 2010 at Windsor Place. She was born April 27, 1923 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Roll Elmer and Stella C. (Price) Webb. She grew up in rural Wayside, Kansas and graduated from Wayside High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Coffeyville Junior College in 1943. She married Ralph Copeland on May 24, 1953 in Coffeyville, Kansas. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville. She worked as an office manager for S.H Kress & Co. in Coffeyville for 27 years and for TG&Y for eight years. She was an active member of the Westside Christian Church. Survivors include her husband, Ralph Copeland of Coffeyville, Kansas and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2010 at the Westside Christian Church in Coffeyville, Kansas with Pastor Mike Elrod officiating. Interment will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery in Coffeyville Friends may call on Thursday, June 24, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family receiving friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Westside Christian Church and these remembrances may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W.
