Jenafer Jayann Tyler, 36, of Wichita, formerly of Independence, passed away the morning of May 20, 2010, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
She was born October 11, 1973 in Hialeah, Florida to Malcolm and Sandra (Hugunin) Davison. In June 1975, her family moved to Independence where she grew up. She attended school at Tyro and Independence, graduating from Independence High School in 1992 and Independence Community College in 1995.
On June 28, 1997 she married Travis Ray Tyler at Tyro Christian Church in Tyro, KS. Following their marriage they made their home in Independence where Jenafer worked at a day care center until becoming disabled by a terminal disease.
Jenafer was a member of the Tyro Christian Church.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Davison in 1996. Survivors include her husband, Travis Tyler of the home; her father and step-mother, Malcolm and Lisa Davison of Independence; her sister, Terra Sanders and husband Brad and three nephews, Bryce, Caleb, and Logan all of Caney, KS; her sister Heidi Morrill and husband James of Lincoln, IL; maternal grandmother, Ann Hugunin of Louisburg, KS; paternal grandmother, Barbara Davison of Cummings, GA; step-grandmother, Leora Johnson of Camp Point, IL; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2010 at the Tyro Christian Church in Tyro, KS, with David Bycroft, Brad Sanders and Kevin Moyers officiating. Burial will follow in Fawn Creek Cemetery northeast of Tyro.
Friends may call on Sunday, May 23, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
