Linda May Henderson, age 53, of Coffeyville, passed away Tuesday morning, May, 11, 2010, at her residence following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Coffeyville, with the Reverend Dan Kill of the First United Pentecostal Church officiating. Interment will follow at Ball Cemetery in Childers, Oklahoma.
Friends may call at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 N. Cline Rd, Coffeyville, Kansas on Friday, May 14, from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.
She was born December 13, 1956, in Port Jervis, New York to Charles and Martha (Oppelt) Dunning. She was grew up and attended school in Port Jervis.
On October 17, 1996, she married Steve Henderson, Sr. at Fort Smith,Arkansas. She lived in Muskogee, Oklahoma before moving to Coffeyville seven years ago. She was a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include her husband, Steve; two sons: Fredrick Decker of Pennsylvania, and Steven Edward Henderson, Jr. of Coffeyville. Three daughters: Shawn Marie Decker, Muskogee, Oklahoma; Jody Lynn Henderson, and Kelly Marie Henderson, both of Coffeyville. Four brothers: Charles Dunning and wife, Pat, Bill Dunning and Ed Dunning, all of Sparrow Bush, New York, and Tracy Dunning and wife, Erian, of Yulan, New York. Two grandsons: Troy Ivan David Frazier and Taylor Matthew Cartwright; and special friend, Shirley Don Cartwright of Coffeyville. She was preceded in death by her parents.
