Coffeyville - Malcolm L. Bizzle, 84, of Coffeyville, formerly of Newport Beach, CA, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2010 at his nephew's home in Coffeyville. He was born April 1, 1926 in Bales, Oklahoma to Malcolm L and Mary (Hodge) Bizzle, Sr. When he was young he moved to California with his family where he completed his education. After graduating from high school he attended college until joining the Merchant Marines during WW II. In September 1950 he joined the U.S. Army during the Korean War; in October 1951 he attended Army Officer Candidate School at Ft. Riley, KS, graduating April 1952 as 1st Lt. He served five months in Korea before receiving his honorable discharge in October 1953. He married Guinevere M. Dancer in California; she preceded him in death in 1997. Mr. Bizzle was a field supervisor for Graham-Livingston Concrete Co. in California for many years. He moved to Coffeyville a 18 months ago to make his home with his nephew Doug Critchfield and wife Diana Freeman. Survivors include one sister, June Day of Oregon; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Good Shepherd Cemetery in Huntington Beach, CA. Tagged as: Good Shepherd Cemetery, WWII
