Franke D. Scott, age 69, of Dewey, Oklahoma passed away Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Forrest Manor Nursing Home in Dewey, Oklahoma.
He was born January 29, 1941 in Williams, Arizona to Anthony and Vivian M. (Roop) Scott. He attended school at the Bartlesville High School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served until he was honorably discharged.
He married Karen Wry. They later divorced. He married Karen Phillips and they were married for ten years until she passed away in 2000. He worked for the City of Bartlesville in the Street Department for ten years. He lived in Dewey, Oklahoma most of his life, with the Comforting Hands Hospice out of Bartlesville, Oklahoma providing his care at the end.
He is survived by two sons, Joel Scott of St. Charles, Virginia and Glen Scott of Dewey, Oklahoma; one daughter, Leora Scullawl of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; one brother, George Scott and his wife Lydia of Dewey, Oklahoma; two sisters, Barbara Magness of Dewey, Oklahoma and Bette Wilson of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Dudink; his wife Karyn Scott and one brother, Stanley Douglas Scott.
Friends may sign the register book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan, Kansas.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Dewey Cemetery in Dewey, Oklahoma with Hospice Chaplain Mike McDougan officiating.
