Doris Ann Andrews, 78, of Coffeyville passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010 at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, MO.
She was born December 21, 1931 at Dearing, KS to Charles and Blanche (Proctor) Heslop. She grew and attended grade school in Dearing and graduated from Field Kindley High School in Coffeyville.
On December 17, 1950 she married William F. Andrews at Miami, OK. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville except for a few years while Bill was in the U.S. Army. Mr. Andrews preceded her in death in 1994.
Ann was employed at George's Cafeteria in Coffeyville in the 1970's before going to work at Automotive Control Corp. in Independence where she worked for many years until retiring.
She was a member of Grace Fellowship in Coffeyville, and enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include three sons, David F. Andrews of Coffeyville, Richard C. "Bird" Andrews and wife Janice of Edmond, OK, and Mark H. Andrews and wife (Tomecca) of Coffeyville; one daughter, Mary Jones of Overland Park, KS; thirteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, William Jack Andrews, one grandson, Mathew Andrews, one brother, and one sister.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March25, 2010 at Grace Fellowship in Coffeyville with Rev. Gerald Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
