Coffeyville - Freda Irene (Crozier) Beeson, age 93, of Coffeyville joined her maker Saturday, March 6, 2010. She was a resident of Medicalodge in Coffeyville, KS since the flood of 2007. Freda was born February 15, 1917 in Chanute, KS to Lester Rebstock Crozier and Rachel Inez (Graves) Crozier. Freda attended elememtry schools in Osawatomie, KS where her step-father Willie Hayden worked for the Railroad, moving to Coffeyville when Freda was thitreen years old. She attended local schools in Coffeyville. On February 28, 1936, Freda married Mirle Dwight Beeson of rural Edna in Nowata, OK. They made their home in Coffeyville at 901 E 9th until Mirle's retirement, in 1977 they moved to Grand Tara on Grand Lake. They returned to Coffeyville in 1987. where Freda continued to live until July 2007 when she moved to the nursing home. She loved gardening, flowers, crocheting, quilt making, and fishing with the best of her boys. Her entire life was focused around three generations of her family as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She only worked outside the home for two years at Automotive Controls in Independence, KS in 1975-76. She is preceded in death by her husband Mirle, a daughter Connie Irene Beeson, her parents, three brothers, Clifford, Dale, and Theron Crozier; two stepsisters: Ruth (Hayden) McKim and Lucille (Hayden) Charlesworth. She is survived by one brother (Allen) Eugene ( Rita) Hayden and four sons: John (Phyllis), Loran (Debbie), Terry (Shelley), all of Coffeyville and Bill Beeson of Baytown TX. Six Grandchildren: Johnene (Beeson) Marcum, Kathy (Beeson) Gregory, Doug and Carey (Melissa) Beeson, John David (Tammy) Beeson and Brandi Beeson. Seven Great-Grandchildren: Kelsey and Abby Horton, Spencer Gregory, Blake and Grant Beeson, Brian and Cyra Beeson. The family suggests memorials to The First United Methodist Church of Coffeyville in lieu of flowers; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337 Services will be at 2PM Thursday, March 11, 2010 in the First United Methodist Church at 10th & Elm in Coffeyville, KS with Reverend John Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park in Coffeyville. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
