Coffeyville - Kenneth F. Keith, 88, died Thursday, January 2, at his home in Coffeyville. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 6, 2014, at Grace Fellowship Church with Pastor Doug Mund officiating. Kenneth was born August 1, 1925, in Coffeyville to James Lloyd and Thelma (Miller) Keith. He grew up in Coffeyville and graduated from Field Kindley High School in 1943. In 1946 he joined the Navy serving aboard the U.S.S. Yosemite. Upon his return from the Navy he attended Coffeyville Community College. On September 10, 1950, he married Carolee Shaver who survives at the home. He was employed by Jensen Brothers as purchasing agent later moving to Mineral Wells, Texas, where he was an oilfield equipment sales representative for Jensens. He was also a partner in Edgewood Lanes Bowling Alley. In 1983, he retired and moved to Harlingen, Texas, returning to Coffeyville in 2008. Kenneth was a member of Keystone Masonic Lodge No 102 A.F. and A.M. of Coffeyville; Fort Scott Consistory and Mirza Shrine Temple of Pittsburg. He enjoyed woodworking, golf, bowling and fishing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Cindy Price of Coffeyville and Becki Drozd of Texas; 3 grandchildren and their spouses, Angie and Chris Naden, Ryan and Amanda Price and Sean and Ada Drozd; and 5 great-grandchildren, Bailey and Nick Naden, Natalie and Cody Price and Deanna Drozd. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jim and Phil, and a sister, Beverly Pharr. Friends may sign the register book on Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Memorials may be made to the Friends of the Animals for the Coffeyville Animal Shelter and left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyvlle, KS 67337.
