Jack L. Wall, age 70, of Sedan, Kansas passed away Friday morning, January 4, 2008 at the Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home in Sedan.
He was born January 28, 1937 near Elgin, Kansas to Samuel Lewis Wall and Alice Marie (Niblack) Wall. He attended Elgin Elementary and graduated from Sedan High School. He served in the military with the United States Army. He lived most of his life in Chautauqua County. He worked several years for Cedar Vale Co-Op Exchange and also for Chautauqua County for the Solid Waste Department. He was also a truck driver for Chautauqua County Road and Bridge.
On January 8, 1959, he married Nadine Seaman in Sedan, Kansas. She survives of the home in Sedan.
He is also survived by two sons, Billy Wall and his wife Debbie of Cedar Vale, Kansas and Scott Wall of Winfield, Kansas; two grandsons, Matthew Wall and his wife Stefanie of Springfield, Virginia and Taggart Wall of Winfield, Kansas; one granddaughter, Charissa Wall of Winfield, Kansas and one step-granddaughter, Chantiel Barron of Arkansas City, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may call from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, January 6, 2008 at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home of Sedan.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 7, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Sedan with Reverend J. Dean McNamara officiating. Interment will follow at the Cedar Vale Cemetery in Cedar Vale, Kansas.
The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home, the First Baptist Church of Sedan or Hospice Care of Kansas and these remembrances may be left in care of David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 209 N. Douglas Street, Sedan, Kansas 67361.
