Edward "Ed" Eugene Clark, 60, of Ramona, OK, formerly of Coffeyville, passed away Sunday morning, February 28 at his home.
He was born December 24, 1949 in Eads, Colorado to William I. and Wilma J. (Grout) Clark. He attended elementary school in Butler, Missouri and later graduating from Harrisonville High School in Harrisonville, Missouri. After high school he attended State Fair Community College in Sedalia, Missouri and also Central Missouri State in Warrensburg, Missouri. He later enlisted in the United States Air Force.
He married Ronda Lilburn on November 5, 1988 in Nixa, Missouri. They made their home in Springfield, Missouri, and Benton, Arkansas before moving to Ramona, Oklahoma where they have lived since 1990.
He worked as a merchandiser in grocery stores for numerous years. He last worked for Valu Merchandisers, a division of Associated Whole Sale Grocers.
He enjoyed all sports, was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals fan, loved music, and also loved to fish. He was past President of the Coffeyville Community College Basketball Booster Club and he also was past President of the Sertoma Club in Coffeyville, Kansas.
He is survived by his wife Ronda of the home in Ramona, Oklahoma; one son, Brock Clark of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and one daughter, Haley Barrett of Collinsville, Oklahoma; one brother, Don Clark of Altamont, Kansas; and one grandchild, Kolby Barrett.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter Skylynn.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Ramona, Oklahoma with Pastor Kevin Baker officiating.
Friends may sign the register book on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
The family has suggested memorials to the Caney Valley Athletic Association and can be mailed to P.O. Box 370, Ochelata, Oklahoma 74051 attention Kim Fogle.
