Tracy Alban
Tracy L. Alban, 50, of Coffeyville passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010, at his home.
He was born February 27, 1959, at Coffeyville to Lee E. and Maxine (Taylor) Alban. Tracy grew up and attended school in Coffeyville graduating from Field Kindley High School.
On July 26, 2002, he married Iris (Umbehr) Amick at Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home north of Coffeyville in the house they built together.
Tracy was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and was very active in Relay for Life. He was a master woodworker and furniture maker, last year he built the Cedar Chest for Relay for Life and was currently building a Grandfather Clock for this year's Relay for Life event. Tracy also enjoyed fishing and woodworking with his son John, and helping his son Matt work on his Demolition Derby Cars.
Survivors include his wife, Iris of the home; two sons, John Lee Alban of Topeka, and Matthew Taylor Alban of Coffeyville; two step-sons, Walter Amick of San Diego, CA; and Winston Amick of Alma, KS; and three sisters, Patty Watson of Spring Hill, FL, Linda Anhalt of Weeki Wachee, FL, and Nina Beason of Hepler, KS.
A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 1, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. John Collins officiating. Cremation has taken place.
Friends may sign the register book on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
The family suggests memorials to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and the Tatman Cancer Center at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
