Robert James Cornett, 26, of Coffeyville, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010 at St. John Medical Center in Joplin, MO.
He was born September 7, 1983 at Claremore, OK to Stephen and Della M. (Hand) Cornett. He grew up and attended school in Coffeyville.
He was employed for several years at the cement plant in Independence.
Robert attended the Dearing Christian Church. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his father, Stephen Cornett of Coffeyville; his mother, Della Stalford of Independence, two brothers, Stephen F. Cornett of Independence, and David L. Cornett of Coffeyville; his grandmother, Jewell Cornett of Coffeyville; and his companion Kristy Walton of Coffeyville.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the Fairview Cemetery Veterans Memorial Patio.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
