Alma R. Tallchief, age 66, of Sedan, passed away on Wednesday morning, January 27, 2010 at her residence in Sedan.
She was born on March 4, 1943 in Winfield, Kansas to Lloyd B. and Alma R. (Bradford) Rutter. She grew up and attended school at Cedar Vale High School in Cedar Vale, Kansas until the tenth grade. In 1960 she married Phillip Hopkins and they later divorced in 1972. She has lived in Sedan for the past thirty-eight years.
She enjoyed flowers and all animals especially her Chihuahuas. She also enjoyed horseback riding in her younger years.
She is survived by one son; Vincent Hopkins of rural Independence, Kansas; one brother, Bill Rutter of Cedar Vale, Kansas; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Clint Hopkins and her parents.
Cremation has taken place and the family has requested a memorial service at a later date.
