Coffeyville - Lucille Agnes Liebert, 75, Overland Park, died on the evening of January 23, 2010 at The Forum in Leawood, KS. She was born February 10, 1934, Coffeyville, KS, the fifth child of Albert L. and Mamie Jordan Liebert. Ms. Liebert was a clinical psychologist licensed in the state of Missouri. Her business interests began when she worked as Director of Counseling Services at Marymount College, Salina, KS. She continued her work at Psychological Services, Kansas City, MO, under the supervision of Dr. C. Kermit Phelps before branching on her own in private practice. Her services ranged from marital counseling, elderly/aging, social adjustment in religious communities, occupational counseling, personality assessments/evaluations, and adolescents. Throughout her career she was also a professional consultant to several Catholic organizations and offices including Catholic Charities, Kansas City, MO, and the Catholic Dioceses of Kansas City, MO, Jefferson, MO, Des Moines, IA, Oklahoma City, OK, St. Cloud, Collegeville, MN, and Conception Abbey, Conception, MO. She also taught psychology courses part-time at Rockhurst University, Kansas City, MO. Ms. Liebert was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Prairie Village, KS, where she participated in many faith-based discussion groups. Her faith was very important to her along with the many friends she met at St. Ann. She served as the church organist/pianist in her hometown church of Holy Name Catholic Church, Coffeyville, KS, where she also taught piano inside the family home. She was a member of the American Psychological Association, Missouri Psychological Association, Kansas Psychological Association, and American Personnel and Guidance Association. Ms. Liebert graduated in 1984 with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Pacific Western University, Encino, CA. She received a Master of Arts in Music from the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, IN, in 1968 and a Bachelor of Music in Piano from The Kansas State Teachers College, Pittsburg, KS, in 1955. She graduated in 1951 from Field Kindley High School and Holy Name Catholic School in 1948. She enjoyed bird watching and was a lover of the arts such as symphonies, recitals, concerts, art galleries, and theatre plays. Survivors include Robert "Bob" L. Liebert, Coffeyville, KS, Father William "Bill" Thomas Liebert, SVD, Techny, IL, and Albert C. and Geraldine "Jerry" Liebert, Coffeyville, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother John Liebert, infant, and sister-in-law Patricia "Pat" Liebert. Other survivors include nieces Ann Marie Vannoster, Coffeyville, KS, Caroline Law, Lenexa, KS, Mary Liebert Franklin, Tulsa, OK, and Jane Ellen Liebert, Lawrence, KS. Visitation is Wed, January 27, 2010 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 7231 Mission Rd, Prairie Village, KS, 9:30am-10:20am with a rosary beginning at 10:20am. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Wed, January27, 2010 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Prairie Village, KS under the direction of the Porter Funeral Home in Lenexa, KS. A funeral dinner will be at St. Ann after regular funeral services. Graveside Services and burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Calvary Cemetery in Coffeyville, KS with Father Ben Nguyen officiating under the direction of the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. In lieu of flowers, Ms. Liebert requested donations to "Saint Luke's Hospital Foundation," 4225 Baltimore Ave, Kansas City, MO 64111. Please write "Liebert - Cancer Institute" in the memo line.
