Just now on the Web I found out that Gary had died. I still remember as a very young child playing Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn with him, sneaking out at night to play and go swimming, and even one time when he stole a watermellon for us! I guess he might have been an onery kid, but it seems he turned into a fine adult. My condolences to his family and friends.

Dear Cathy, I'm Jessie, sister of Ray Brown, I'm so sorry to hear that Gary passed. It has been a long journey working through Ray's death, and I've neglected some of the most important things and people that were in his life. You, Gary, Dale, Gayle and the rest of the band members brought so much joy to Ray and his love for music. I believe Gary and Ray are still jamming, laughing and enjoying each others company in a most wonderful place now. I wish you peace and happiness Cathy. Love, Jessie Brown Clarkson
