To me, he will always be "Coach Brownlee". He was a tough and great tennis coach who cared deeply about each one of us, not to mention a great teacher. Our successes meant so much to him. He was a huge part of my life from 7th grade through my senior year (1979-1980) as we spent many hours on the courts with him learning and practicing and learning some more (not to mention the wind sprints he delighted in having us run!). One of our team pictures, with him in it, of course, is actually on my refrigerator to this day. He and Jann had us over for end of season celebrations at their house, and they were such warm, caring people. James, I remember you as a little bitty guy.and the love of their lives. I had no idea you had lost your mom, and I am so sorry now about your father as well. Please know that he had a profound impact on so many of us growing up. Thank you for sharing him!! My love and prayers to you and your family.
