Irving Knight will be missed by many. He was gifted in many ways. I think possibly his greatest quality was his positive attitude. I was a pastor to him for a season and enjoyed much conversation with Irving. I never heard Irving speak negatively towards another. I don't know many people that keep their tongue as well as Irving did.

I have known Irving for a number of years and I believe that down deep he had a good heart. He was always ready to share what little he had, be it a Gideon Bible, a pencil, or a notebook with anyone who needed one. He loved to talk about Kansas history, old cars, or politics with anyone who would take the time to chat with him. He always appreciated it if you would listen to him. Please let me know when and where the memorial service will take place.

Irv was a man of many talents. He was avid in knowing the local history of the Coffeyville area. He liked reading my Arkansas Democrat-Gazzettes at the hotel. He was right on, in his politics. He was a good man. R.I.P. Irving!

Irving, as well as all his brothers and sisters, is part of my childhood memories. Growing up in West Coffeyville, I can picture Irving walking by my house countless times. Most of all, I remember his positive attitude and cheerfulness. He brightened up the world for us all! He was so godly in reaching out to others. Perhaps Irving was teaching all of us how to brighten up the world. I will carry that with me in the future. Irving modeled a genuine love for all people.
My sympathy to Mary, Janet, Jeannie, Richard, Robert and Joe. Fond memories of you all!

We were so sorry to hear of Irving's passing. He was always so friendly, and someone almost every member of our small town knew. Randy went to gradeschool with him, and both of us attended high school with Irving. He really never did know a stranger, and if he didn't know someone he would ask who they were, and what they were doing in town. Our thoughts are with his friends and family at this time.......

Knew all of the Knight kids from West Coffeyville. Knew Irving best. He never forgot a name. He always greeted everyone he saw. He was knowledgeable about so many subjects, just name one. He was an ambassador for Coffeyville. Our sympathies go out to Irving's brothers and sisters.
