I was saddened to hear of Ursula's passing. We both belonged to Kansas Authors Club. I did not know her well but admired what she'd done with her writing. As part of an award I won at KAC in 2013, I was given the choice of any book in the Book Room at that year's convention. I selected My German Christmas and was so pleased that I had chosen it after reading from start to finish. What a perfect picture it gave the reader of a young girl in Germany and Christmas traditions. When Ursula sent the book to me, she also sent a note saying how thrilled she was that I had selected her book. But it was me who got the best end--getting to read it. My sympathiy to all family.

My thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of you during this time. What a beautiful day to have her memorial service on Ursula's birthday. I went to the Vo-Tech with her then I later worked with her at The Coffeyville Journal until her retirement. Each year I would try send her a birthday message and she always responded thinking it was so nice of me to remember her. She was a wonderful lady.
