Obituary of Wanda B. Sells

Wanda B. Sells left this life to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 10, 2015. She was born on November 29, 1926 to Bernard (Ben) and Lydia (Walborn) Brinkman in Nowata, Oklahoma. At age 10, she and her parents, along with her brother Don, moved onto the family farm just west of Coffeyville, Kansas. She attended James School and graduated from Field Kindley High School in 1945. Wanda married Clifford F. Sells on November 24, 1946. They continued to reside on the farm and raised their five children. Wanda and Clifford would go on to be active members of the Holy Name Catholic Church, help form the Coffeyville Garden Club, and become 4-H leaders while happily teaching square dancing to the members of the Bob White 4-H Club. Wanda loved sewing, gardening and caring for her family. Wanda also worked for the Unified School District 445 in Coffeyville as the head baker in the cafeteria. She retired 1991 and spent her retirement traveling with her soul mate to Branson, Missouri and several southern states. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, her son David, a great-great grandchild, Kailyah and her husband, Clifford. She is survived by her two daughters, Karen Goodman and husband, Gary of Vinita, Oklahoma, Marilyn Woodward and husband, Gary of Rawlins, Wyoming; her two sons, Ron Sells and wife, Bobbi Jo and Rob Sells and his wife, Jana all of Coffeyville, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren. The Rosary will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2015 with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Chad Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery. Friends may sign the register book on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville.
