I am saddened as I read today of JoLene's recent death. I remember her as a good friend when we were in elementary school together in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.

Jolene played a huge part of my childhood and was the mother to one of the most loved people in my life Jason Layman. She was a wonderful woman and will be missed so much. She was fun to be around and was always willing to play cards with me and make me feel like an adult. Jason I love you and am thinking of you always.

Jolene & I shared careers together at New York Life. She was a founding member of a study group that lasted for over 25 years. We shared a lot of tears, frustrations & laughter as we progressed from newbies to older managers.
Jolene entertained us with stories of Jason as a lad. I remember Jolene telling us about Jason's pet snake that escaped his container & found warmth in Jolene's waterbed. What a hoot !
I remember when Jolene first met Warren & how her eyes glowed with love when she introduced him to her NYL friends.
The study group members share in your sorrow for the loss of such a wonderful women.

We have very fond memories of Jolene, both from our time at New York Life, and during my time as her Visiting Teaching partner...she was always full of joy and good advice. she was a lovely friend.

Dear Warren, Jason and Norma,
We want to let you know that we love and care for you all very much. The time we spent with Jolene and Warren while they lived in Albuquerque has always been precious to our family. We loved when Norma would come visit and we all got to play games together. We remember how proudly Jolene spoke of Jason and her love for him. Warren, we couldn't have picked someone to be a better match for you - Jolene was truly your other half. Thanks for sharing your wife, mother and daughter with us. She taught us all to laugh a little harder and longer. When we learned of her passing, we were with Cindy's mom Connie and our brother Chris. We spent time talking about our memories and enjoying all that Jolene brought into our lives. We are thankful for the tender mercy of Heavenly Father who knew that being together at that time would bring peace and comfort to us all. Our hearts go out to your family. Jolene was one of our dearest friends and she will be truly missed. She was a wonderful example of a loving mother, wife, daughter and friend. Jolene is an awesome, dedicated loving person. She is devoted to her Heavenly Father, church callings, family and friends. I'm proud to call her my eternal friend and teacher.
