Obituary of Delores L. Bump

Delores L. Bump, 86, formerly of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016 in Abilene, Kansas. Delores was born on January 28, 1930 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Allen and Gladys (Phillips) Gilbert. She grew up in Coffeyville, Kansas where she graduated high school. On October 16, 1953 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Hershel "Buck" Bump in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on April 28, 2013. The couple made their home on their ranch southeast of South Coffeyville, OK. They enjoyed raising cattle and traveling in their 5th wheel. Delores was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Coffeyville. She is survived by her brothers, Allen Gilbert of Los Angeles, California and Bob Gilbert of Tulsa, Oklahoma. In addition to her parents, her husband, and three sisters. She was also preceded in death by her son, David Bump in 1983. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas. Pastor Nicole Schwartz will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. Friends may call on Thursday, March 25, 2016 at David W. Barnes Funeral Home 306 N. Cline Rd, in Coffeyville from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
