My sincere condolence to Lucille, Melissa, and all,of Jerry's kids and grandkids. Jerry and I spent so many high school days "terrorizing" the Woodward countryside on our Cushman scooters. We were a couple of really Bad Dudes, or so we thought! If we weren't harassing farm dogs as we sped by their homes in a cloud of gravel road dust and the throaty roar of a one-cylinder engine, we were swimming in Grandpa Ting's farm pond.
We lost contact after Jerry went off to the Army and I went on to college and a career in the Air Force, but I heard a lot about his incredible service in Vietnam as a "Tunnel Rat" and with a host of law enforcement agencies as an explosives expert. Who says the Army didn't teach you a useable skill!
Last summer my mother and I were driving by Licille's home on my visit back to Iowa and we decided to stop on to say Hi. What a surprise that Jerry was there, and we saw each other again for the first time since about 1966! We had a great time reliving old memories and catching up on each other's lives! Our mothers also had an impromptu Class Reunion, as they represent two of the last three surviving members of Woodward High School Class of 1940! With Jerry's passing, that chance meeting has so much more significance to me now.
Rest in peace, Jerry, you were one of the best friends a guy could have, a true warrior, and a blessing to all who knew you. You will be missed by all!

Was blessed to work with Jerry until he retired. Kept in touch by emails, postings and instant messaging the last couple of years. We talked about a long fishing trip when we both retired. I'll miss his wit and sense of humor. I know you "can smell the fish" as the angels have placed you by a special heavenly body of water in the sky. Until we meet again, my friend. My deepest condolences, he'll be fondly remembered by many.

Dear Missy and family,
I am so sorry about Jerald passing. He was one of the kindest, caring people I had the privilege of knowing. I always looked forward to seeing and taking care of his Health & Safety course records at the Red Cross. He always had a joke for me. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you, Kayla and all the family. Fondly, Mary B.

He will forever be a Brother to me...
He will surely be missed because he brought to those he came in contact with the laughter and joy that only he could bring. A quick wit and always ready for or to give a joke. The very true meaning of an optimist that saw the good in everything when no one else could.
He carried the scars of a warrior, a constant reminder of Vietnam that reminded him everyday of the sacrifice he made for us all; but the lives that he saved both in battle and as a citizen will be truly grateful for his time on this Earth.
Rest in peace now my Brother Jerry, you have fought the good fight, lived a truly good and blessed life, have many friends and Brothers that love you and that are truly blessed, as well, to have known you, all the while leaving a legacy within your family name that will be unparalleled.
Surely, you are in Heaven now riding around in that Limo..... Where God I'm sure has said "Well done my Good and Faithful Son".....
Your Eternally Grateful Brother,
Curtis D. Antle
