John had a good heart and a wonderful personality . He was there for me in a time when I needed a shoulder to cry on. He took me out of a dark place, and helped me to move on with my life.
John treated my boy as if they were his own. Kyle told me he loved all the fun things they used to do together, like camping and play baseball. John , Heath and I went to many concerts together which added to Heath ‘s love of music. I am luck to have had him in my life. So sorry for his passing. He will always share a place in my heart.

My most sincere & heartfelt condolences to John's daughters Teena & Haley, grandchildren, friends & family. It was my privilege & blessing to have known John these past 45 years. To have grown up with him, played in bands & performed with him, wrote music & recorded with him, but most of all, to have been able to call him my friend, & one of my dearest & best friends at that. I could not have asked for a better friend. John was one of the most unselfish people I ever knew. He would be there for U if U needed him, & do anything within his power for U. So happy I talked to him on the phone a few weeks ago. We talked every 2 weeks since I moved away. He knew my love I had for him, and I knew his for me. We never failed to tell one another that we loved each other at the end of all of our phone conversations. We knew his passing was close, so we had said our final goodbyes. What an incredible drummer, percussionist & vocalist John was, and I was so fortunate to have played music with him for the majority of our lives. I don't care how many bands John played in, I Always called him 'My Drummer'. He was one of the Very Best !!!! The adventures he & I shared together, & oh the stories I could tell. I miss you already little brother. Save me a spot in the band please. Whether U need a good Bass player, or 'someone to play lead guitar solos on everything all of the time' (inside joke). Rest now Johnny, until we Jam again, on the other side. I Love you John !!!!
