My condolences to Lela May's family. We both graduated from Cherryvale High School in 1950, she was a good friend in all of out school years starting in kindergarten or 1st grade. My wife(Virginia Sleeper, CHS 1950) & I moved from Cherryvale after High School, we made all of theSchool reunions over the years it was always great to see & talk to Lela May at these reunions. She was a great person! God Bless, Don Avey & family, Four Seasons, Mo.

To Bev, Don, Gary, Amanda, Aubrey and all the rest of the family and friends: I'm writing this with tears in my eyes, but laughter in my heart. I'm remembering setting at your kitchen table doubled over with laughter about some story she had told us. I'm remembering all the laughs as she drove us all over creation (in and out of ditches). I'm remembering special Halloweens and so many other things. Thanks for sharing your Mom with us. She was an important part of our idyllic childhood and like you, I'll be missing her until we all meet again on the other side...
Love,
Nancy (Beam) Dunscomb
