Obituary of Lucille A. Miesner

Lucille A. Miesner, 85, of Coffeyville went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Windsor Place in Coffeyville/
Lucille was born on January 27, 1932, near Lenapah, Oklahoma to Paul and Viola (Gerler) Miesner. She grew up and attended school in the Lenapah area, graduating from Lenapah High School. After completing high school Lucille moved with her family to Coffeyville, Kansas. Lucille worked at Kress' and then at ACC in Independence until she retired.
While living at Windsor Place, Lucille loved participating in the Age to Age Kindergarten program. She spent her days in the classroom reading stories, singing, and doing art projects. The Kindergartners brought her such joy.
Lucille was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Coffeyville.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother, Eugene Miesner.
Survivors include one sister, Myrtle Flanders and husband Marvin of Coffeyville; five nephews, David Flanders, Glen Flanders, Ron Miesner, Phil Miesner, and Tom Miesner; one niece, Sheri Miesner; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 506 West 9th St. in Coffeyville with Rev. Roland Vega officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, Kansas 67337.
