Dear Barnes Family: Thank you all so very much for allowing me & my team the absolute honor & privilege of caring for "Dean". She truly gave us so much joy! She kept us on our toes! She was so fun! What a true lady! She visited me daily in my office & I always felt she had some special gift to know when I was the most tired, overwhelmed by the challenges of caring for 60 residents & their families' as well as 30 nursing staff members (& their families at times), sad, angry or happy, because it was then she would pay me a visit!. Dean's visits always made me feel better! She was a great caregiver for ME! She was awesome to know & love! The saying goes: The apple never falls very far from the tree, and you all were proof of that! Your love & commitment to Dean & others was a great example for me, my team & other visitors to PVM! I wish every resident had at least 1 family member such as yourselves. You showed other residents kindness & compassion on your visits with Dean. Thank you for those gracious gifts as well as the years you shared Dean with us. She will always remain close in my thoughts & heart. My son came to work at PVM & she loved Jordon. Many times he reminded her of HER baby because of his build & stature. She said to me one day:" Now is THATa long tall drink of water, or what?" Several times if she was in spot where she needed a hand but wasn't receptive to her regular caregivers, I would ask him to help her out, & usually she would have a change of heart when he appeared, & was more receptive in a few minutes. She shared so many special gifts with us & taught us many many things, not only as caregivers but as people. You all are in my thoughts & prayers.

I was so sorry to learn of your sweet mothers death. Although it was many years ago, I remember meeting her like it was yesterday. She touched the lives of all who knew her and we know she will be greatly missed. Kimberly and I will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers at the time.

I just read about your super Mom in the Sedan paper and never knew she was in Coffeyville for several years. I just want to say how much I enjoyed knowing her and all her family. She was vibrant, happy, and a great inspiration. Thank you for sharing her through the years.
