Jason and I grew up together. We weren’t always friends as kids, but I think it was because we were so competitive. We’d run like banshees up and down 6th street and man that kid could fly. In Junior high we were teammates and coach would occasionally do a drill called “thunderdome”. The gist was we started with the lightest man, and the second lightest man, and they’d wrestle until one scored a point. The loser walked, and the winner stayed to wrestle the next man. Hoover wrestled up 4-5 weight classes and kept winning. When he got to me, exhausted, he just kind of flopped and let me win. We were laughing so hard coach stopped the drill and made us run laps! Jason and I remained friends after graduation and throughout our lives. We’d always argue about anything, but I always respected him. He was always a friend. Always someone I’d seek out in a crowd to share a few laughs. I’m going to miss him. Fly high brother. My deepest sympathy to Micky, Donna, Jeremy and the whole family.

I remember one of our first memories was (hoovie) wrestling a match that made him bridge for over a minute and he done with no problem. He was my teammate, my brother, my friend and a wonderful human being that I truly thank God that I knew and I hold in the highest regards of respect. Hoovie I want you to fly high, teach all the other angels how to shoot take downs, and know that you are loved and missed. Love your big brother, Nick aka big thrower
