Dear Bonnie and family, Charles will be truly missed. He was a fine, humble man with a heart of gold! I cherish the memories of recent visits, telling all those great stories, particularly the one when dad (Allen Gilbert) and I visited and heard of Charles' first experience flying in a small plane with dad. Charles was dad's first cousin, and they shared good times together.
This photo is another great memory of Charles and Bonnie July 2019 when Charles drove Bonnie, Lynne Rauscher Oliver, and I to the original Allen Gilbert (my great, great grandfather) 2500 acre ranch and homestead established around 1869 in South Coffeyville, Cherokee Nation.
May God bless and provide comfort to you in this time of sorrow.
