Upon learning of Herb's passing, number of his high school classmates returned comments to the class via email. These follow below:
"I'm so glad we (at least most of us) were able to see Herb at the class reunion in May. I have a couple of reunion photos of Herb that bring back such good memories".

"Herb & I were classmates for eleven years. I have such fond memories of the overnight stays at the farm during our grade school days and later on the coon hunts on those pitch black nights; also remember [maybe not quite as fondly] the great "elderberry wine experiment' of 1956.
