Norma, Jim,Karen, and grands,
"What's your Hurry?"is what I know Dad greeted his best bud, Bob with. Those two were such a pair. The closest thing Dad ever had to being a brother, and Jim felt like a little brother to us. I remmber the picnics, Norma's fried chicken, deviled eggs with paprika, and the fabulous chocolate cake. We were always made to feel welcome, and felt so special when we visited. If we ever needed help, Bob was there to show Dad a better way to do it, which wasn't hard because his mechanical skills were limited. The Kneedler family was always there, through the losses of our family members. We will always stay connected and felt the bond of more than just a friend, you all were family to us. I can hear Bob and Dad sharing a good laugh, a cup of coffee, along with Mom's chocolate oatmeal cookies or Norma's cherry pie. When I got married and started my own family, my boys would get to go visit once in a while. If you didn't have something and needed it, there Bob or Norma were. I still have a 40 year old baby shirt I made for my oldest son,and couldn't find buttons for it. Norma pulled out her button box, and there were enough buttons from Bob's old work shirt to have, just perfect. The road ahead will be rough for a while, but take comfort in knowing there's no more pain, and you can bet we'll be greeted when we get there with a coffee cup in their hand raised to us with a big old smile, and a what's your hurry. Our Love and payers and thoughts are with your family. Marjean, John, and Families.
