Obituary of Robert Kneedler

Coffeyville - Robert Lee Kneedler, 84, of Coffeyville, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at his home. He was born June 27, 1928 at Lebanon, MO to Lewis and Myrtle (Wood) Kneedler. Robert grew up and attended school at Lebanon graduating from Lebanon High School. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army. On May 8, 1954 he married Norma Gregory at Camdenton, MO. Following their marriage they made their home in Lebanon before moving to Arlington, CA. In 1956 they moved Coffeyville where Robert worked at Farmland Refinery. Robert was a member of the Bible Baptist Church, and the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Norma of the home; one son, Jim Kneedler and wife Karen of Edna; one brother, Kenny Kneedler of Lebanon, MO; two grandsons, Chris Kneedler and Corey Kneedler; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one infant sister. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2012 at the Bible Baptist Church, 701 West 4th St., Coffeyville, KS with Pastor Daniel Knight officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park with Military Honors conducted by V.F.W. Post #1022 and American Legion Post #20. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. The family suggests memorials to the Bible Baptist Church or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W.
