William Robert "Bill" Currier, 57, of Wichita, formerly of Coffeyville passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012 at his home.
He was born September 25, 1954 at Coffeyville at William Walter "Bill" and Ethel Ann (Chaney) Currier. Bill grew up attended Coffeyville schools graduating from Field Kindley High School in 1972. After completing high school Bill attended Kansas State University, he later returned to Coffeyville and attended and graduated from Independence Cosmetology School.
Bill was a hair stylist in Coffeyville, and for many years owned and operated his own shop Left of Center until retiring due to his health. After retiring he moved to Wichita.
While growing up he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Bill enjoyed painting and interior decorating.
Survivors include his parents, Bill and Ethel Currier of Coffeyville; two sisters, Kathy Henderson, and Ann Currier both of Coffeyville; one niece Heather Lowrance of Auburn, NE; and two great-nephews, Max and Wyatt Lowrance both of Auburn, NE.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 17, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Following Bill's wishes cremation has taken place and private family services will take place at a later date.
The family suggests memorials to the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center Foundation; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
