My sincerest condolences to all Mildred's family.
I met Mildred when I was very young. I enjoyed her wit and her wisdom. She was always a considerate person. She said what she thought , and meant what she said, and I admired her honesty. I had great respect for her.
Mildred influenced my life in more ways than she knew. She helped me learn how to cook and sew. I still have some of her recipes. When I was young we enjoyed trips together. I stayed in her home, and she made me feel welcome.
I enjoyed her being at our family gatherings. She was always there holidays and special gatherings. She always knew she was expected, and welcome. I always considered her a part of our family, as well as a friend.
May your family find peace in what was, and what is. God Bless.
Mildred you will be greatly missed. Rest in peace.

Mom was loved by all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren each in their own way. I'm sure her great-great-grands would have loved her too. It's what we do with that love and the choices we make in life that makes the memories of our time on this earth. Life is too short not to enjoy the roses and pick a few along the way. Love can cover a multitude of hurt and disappointments as we extend a hand to our brothers and sisters especially during this time of sorrow.
As Linda, Robin and I have discussed over the last few years grandma made her choices and we accepted her wishes. Wishes are carried out in life by the actions of others.
She was our mother and she will always be our mother. I don't remember having a lot but we had what was needed. Mom and dad always provided. It took both of them to raise us girls.
Thank you Rhonda and Karl for your expressions and I too would like to say sometimes things aren't what they seem.
Mike, I too would like to thank you for being there when nobody else was invited. We waited patiently but that door never opened.
