I am truly sorry for your loss. Dave and I spent many nights in the jungle under a poncho during monsoon rains and many hours playing Spades when we got to the rear. During this trying time, Dave always maintained his sense of humor and was a rock. I will miss calling him and having him call me with all the news of his grand children. As long as I have memory, I will think of Dave. Garryowen old friend.

I wish to express my heartfelt sorrow. Dave and I flew many helicopter missions and walked many clicks of jungle along with many other fine men. He was a very good soldier. Despite the adversity, he always had a smile and a laugh for us. He and I had been calling each other for past five years. A very fine person. He will always be with me and so will his loved ones.
