Obituary of Ronald R. Kimple

Sedan - Kimple, Ronald R., 76, while surrounded by his family, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2010. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Edith Kimple, and his brother, Jack Jr. He is survived by his wife of 46 six years, Janet; his son, Cash; and his three grandchildren, Chase, Charles, and Nicholas. Ron was founder of Kimple Mold, the manufacturer of ceramic molds, and his story is one of true entrepreneurial success. He started the business in his garage and eventually the company became one of the largest manufacturers of ceramic molds in the United States. Ron was born in Wichita, on November 4, 1934 and was a lifelong resident of the city. He graduated from East High School and then obtained a degree from Wichita University, now Wichita State University. Although he did his best to hide it, Ron had a heart of gold. He also had a great sense of humor and was the type of guy who was easy to get along with. People immediately sensed this, naturally gravitated to him, and during his lifetime Ron was blessed by having many, many friends. Memorial Services will be held at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 6, 2010. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a memorial be sent to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in care of the David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 209 N. Douglas, Sedan, Kansas 67361.
