Coffeyville - Gary L. Eubanks, 66, of Coffeyville, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. He was born October 20, 1943, at Coffeyville to Henry L. "Smokey" and Kathryn LaHoma (Largent) Eubanks. He grew up and attended school in Coffeyville, graduating from Field Kindley High School and Coffeyville Community College. In the late 1950's and early 1960's Gary worked at the Skating Rink. In June 1964 he joined the U.S. Air Force serving until receiving his honorable discharge in June 1968. Gary was employed for many years with the State of Kansas in the Unemployment Office in Coffeyville. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #1022, American Legion Post #20 and the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include one son, Sean Eubanks of Tulsa, OK; and two brothers, Lanny Eubanks of Coffeyville, and Nathan "Skip" Eubanks of Van Buren, AR. A Memorial Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Veterans Patio in Fairview Cemetery with Dr. Wayne Norton of the First Baptist Church in Coffeyville officiating. Friends may sign the register book on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Cremation has taken place.
