Jim always was so friendly. We used to see him quit frequently when mom (Phyllis Endicott) was out at Asbury until til her death 2/5/09. When I worked at Elmore's Jim was one of our regulars so I knew him well from there. Our sympathy is with all of the brothers and sisters.

Phyllis, Donny, Judy & Gerald: I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. Our condolences go to you and your families. We are glad he isn't suffering any more. In the summer of 1954, I was 10 yrs old & got to spend a month at the Lewis family farm in Coffeyville. Jimmy, Donny & I got to explore the "forest" & "lake", herd "cattle" & dig postholes for the new fence. I fondly still recall the memory of those days. In 1968 I stopped to visit but Jimmy wasn't home. Our prayers are with you. Love, Art & Diane Milano

To the Lewis Family, Jim and I attended school together beginning with our years at Roosevelt Jr. High through Field Kindley. We graduated together in the Class of '61. I remember Jim fondly and had the privilege of helping him with his epilepsy (seizures) on several occasions during our years in school. I remember he always dealt with them bravely. I'll remember Jim in my prayers. I am grateful to have known him. May God's Peace and Blessings be with him and all of you. Sincerely, Ron Murphy

Dear Lewis Family, So sorry to hear about cousin Jim's passing. His battle with lukemeia is finally over and he is now in paradise with Jesus, and out of his pain. This is a good picture of Jim and he still looks like he did when he was a kid. We will not be attending the funeral, as it is a long way from California and I don't have time off of my job at this time.. I will pray it is more of celebration of his life.
